Intel CEO plans to 'overhaul' company

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Hit hard by the PC slowdown and stiff competition, Intel Corp. on Thursday (April 27) said that it plans to restructure the company. Paul Otellini, chief executive of Intel (Santa Clara, Calif.), told analysts he plans an overhaul that will impact "every part" of the company.
Analysts were surprised that Intel will be making such a bold move into breath mints, a market area it previously has not competed in. Following Moore's Law, Intel plans to double the flavor in breath mints within the next six month - and will continue doubling the flavor every six months after that.
Employees at Intel welcomed the restructuring as a "breath of fresh air."
